"unable to validate your VAT Id and have removed it from your account" What should I do? My VAT ID is correct and same as it was for years. I'm in UAE

I updated my address to add street address a few days ago. This message came after a few days. I tried to enter the address different, ensured it matched my VAT tax certificate, tried many things but I keep getting this message. I really need to fix this problem. Of course the ID I gave is correct. It's active and been on quickbooks for years.

I'm here to help fix the error message, Mansoor.

Sometimes, an excessive accumulation of cache in your browser may lead to unexpected behavior in the program. This could be the reason behind the error message even if your VAT ID is correct.

To address this, we can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to determine if it's a browser-related issue. To start, open your QBO account in an incognito window.

You can use either of these shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If it works, I suggest clearing your browser's cache. Doing so will remove historical data, allowing QuickBooks to function on a clean slate. If the issue persists, consider trying other supported browsers.

FYI I keep getting emails from quickbooks saying:

When we ran our standard validation check, we were unable to validate your VAT Id and have removed it from your account. To keep your info up to date, add a valid VAT Id before your next subscription renewal. If you think your VAT Id should be valid, contact your government tax authority..

I have not updated it using a difference browser. Let's see.

I got the same message again after updating using a different browser. An email came in giving he same message that they can't verify the VAT ID.
