Hi there, nanneight.
I'll provide information and steps to show the wages in the reconciliation window.
Since you're unable to find journal entries for October wages, I'd suggest visiting the Audit log page. From there, you'll see a list of the company's activities, the changes made, and who made them. That said, it could be that one of the QuickBooks users made the changes or deleted the journal entries for wages.
Here's how:

Once verified that the journal entries for October wages are still there and no one made changes to it, I'd recommend checking the status of the transaction. This is to identify if your JE has been cleared or reconciled in the register. It might be the reason that the wages were not in the reconciliation window when reconciling October.
Here's how:
If the JE won't suppose to be reconciled, you can select the box and keep clicking it until the box is blank. This removes the transaction from the reconciliation. Then, click Save to close your register. For additional details, you can check this article: Undo and remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.
After that, you can reconcile your account again. To see the detailed steps and additional information, you can open this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
Please refer to this article about reviewing the opening balance entry in QuickBooks when you encounter problems during your first reconciliation: Fix beginning balance issues during your first reconciliation in QuickBooks Online.
Please don't hesitate to go back to this thread if you have other questions about your missing transactions. I'm always here to help.
