Let me share information about connecting your Commonwealth Bank to QuickBooks, Davidkerbey.
QuickBooks automatically downloads the maximum number of transactions available from your bank. Depending on the bank, this can give you up to a year of historical transactions.
Some banks allow you set a date range for downloads. It's possible your bank doesn't have this option, so you automatically get the maximum number of transactions available the first time you download. This may be 30, 60, 90 days, or more depending on the bank.
Currently, there isn't a way to retrieve thos remaining transaction. I suggest contacting your bank to know about the number of transactions it will be downloaded in QuickBooks. Otherwise, you can manually import those missing transactions.
Moreover, I'll be sharing the following articles to help manage your bank transactions in QBO:

What file format does your bank provide? e.g csv, pdf
You can use a converter tool to import data into QBO
Many thanks. My bank Commonwealth Australia provide a range of file formats for file download but only allows 200 records to be downloaded!!
So I am left with downloading BANK STATMENTS in PDF (password protected) and trying to extract the historic data from them. Do you know of an app that will convert from PDF to another format, even when the PDF if password protected? This would be very useful as I have several years to import.
Hi there, davidkerbey.
QuickBooks integrates with hundreds of third-party software developers. While I’m unable to recommend an app, I can route you to the website where you can look for an application-specific to your business needs. From there, you can integrate the app to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Additionally, to view a wide range of options, use specific keywords to narrow down the search. You can check the reviews from other customers to help you decide which app suits your business type and needs.
