You've got me here to guide you on how to cancel your QuickBooks Online account.

 

Canceling your QuickBooks Online account can be done from the Accounts and Settings section on your account. 

 

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon on the top menu.
  2. Choose Account and Settings and tick on Billing & Subscription.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, select on Cancel.
  4. Press on Continue to Cancel, then Continue to Cancel again.
  5. Finally, answer the exit survey questions (to help us make QuickBooks better), then scroll down and hit on Confirm Cancel.

 

On the other hand, if you mean to delete your company file, being able to do this on the spot in QBO isn't available. We only allow you to cancel your account. This is to ensure that you can still view your data whenever you need some information when filing your forms for the year.

 

Your company data will be completely eliminated a year after you cancel it. I'd suggest printing the forms and reports you might need in the future.

Thanks for joining the thread. Apologies to hear the trouble encountered when trying to cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription.

 

To be able to cancel your subscription, please make sure to log in using a web browser like Google Chrome or Safari. If you're log in using the QuickBooks Online mobile app, the Gear or Settings icon is not visible since the mobile app is a simplified version of the software.
