I have multiple company files but one just keeps saying bad gateway 502 and won't open?

Hi there, mandkpinzone.

 

The error 502 bad gateway occurs when the server on the internet received an invalid response from another server. 


Please try using another support browser

 

If the error persists, let's add Intuit as the trusted site in your browser settings. You can also enable the active scripting (if you're using the Internet Explorer browser). Here's how:

  1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  2. Click the Security tab and select the Internet icon.
  3. Click Custom Level.
  4. Select Enable under Active Scripting.
  5. Click OK twice.

I'm actually using the app on a MAC my other company files open fine just not one

Thanks for coming back with more clarification, mandkpinzone. 

 

Let's fix it by clearing the app's cache. Here's how:

  1. Launch the QBO app.
  2. Select Help.
  3. Choose Reset App Data.

Then, log in again. If you're still getting the error message, let's uninstall and install the updated app :

  1. Drag the QuickBooks Windows app from the Applications folder to the Trash.
  2. To completely remove the app, go to Finder then choose Empty Trash.
  3. Go to http://quickbooks.intuit.com/apps/.
  4. Scroll down to Get the QuickBooks Mac or Windows App section, and select Free Download, then select Download Now.
  5. Run and install the app.

If none of the above works, please report this to us by contacting our support team. Once they have the complete information of the issue, they'll escalate it to our engineers. 

  1. From your other company account, click on the Help icon.
  2. Select Contact us.
  3. Enter 502 Bad gateway in the field and click on Let's talk.
  4. Choose Chat or Get a callback.
