Thanks for posting in the Community, TheScribe!
Thank you for reporting the unexpected behavior you've encountered when trying to print the invoice and previewing in PDF shows blank. There's a report incident at the moment and currently under investigation with our engineers.
I would recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. That way, they can add your QuickBooks Online account to the affected users and for you to be notified as soon as a fix has been deployed. You can provide the investigation number, INV-93695: QBO AU Only: When printing an invoice and previewing it in PDF on a Mac OS 14.0 version, the invoice page is blank.
In the meantime, you can print the invoice using Adobe Acrobat reader and print as image or access QBO on a windows computer to print the invoice.
Feel free to post again in the Community if you have other concerns. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
I get the same thing.
I have to use Snagit and then save the PDF. Then I can print the saved Snagit copy pdf.
But why? should we do all this extra work.
BTW is happens with ALL old QBO saved pdf.
I downloaded Adobe Acrobate Reader, and I can print the PDF from QBO.
Extra step to do, but Im working.....

YES. Sonoma is horrible. I've never hated an update but this one has screwed up NUMBERS on Mac so badly it's almost unusable.
But now, tonight, at the very last minute, I started printing hundreds of invoices on QBO and they are ALL BLANK. I don't know how to fix it. What a nightmare. We all pay too much for this bad of service.
Have you fixed the problem yet?
Use Adobe Reader (Free) you can print the PDF from there.
I use adobe reader to print my QBO pdf.

I am continuing to have this issue though it is MORE THAN ONE WEEK LATER. Glad to see that Intuit and QuickBooks care so much for their users.
I have the same issue.
If I send the QBO PDF by email to my iPhone and print from my iPhone, it will print properly.
Hello there,
Based on the investigation, they found out that this issue exclusively affects users who recently upgraded to MacOS Sonoma. Users encounter this problem when they attempt to print a document using the Mac Preview application, the default application that opens when they click Print in our product.
This problem arises from Apple's recent OS upgrade, where they removed essential framework support necessary for correct PDF rendering. It specifically affects the printing of PDFs that rely on these frameworks for characters and fonts. There are early signs that Apple intends to resolve this issue in the upcoming MacOS updates, with a tentative plan for November.
In the meantime, for a workaround, you may do these things instead:
1. Download the PDF to his local machine from QuickBooks.
2. Use Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF document.
3. Print the PDF document from there.
I'll leave these articles you can use in the future:
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us again if you have any additional concerns regarding QuickBooks. We are always here to assist you with any questions you may have. Stay safe!
I am having the same issues, been going on for a week. I've reported it to QBO, and Apple. Did you find a workaround.
We want you to come across a different experience than this, cindylicht.
I'm here to share more information and provide a workaround for the issue you encountered.
This issue occurs to those users who have upgraded to macOS recently. This is due to the removal of certain framework support. With that, QuickBooks suggests a workaround to use to keep you back to business. Here's how:
Aside from that, you may access QuickBooks on a Windows computer and print invoices.
Moreover, if you want to email multiple sales forms, you can check this article: Email or print multiple sales forms in QuickBooks Online.
I'm always around whenever you have concerns in printing transactions.
I am having the same issues. I tried to download Adobe and it says that the developer needs to fix Adobe to work with Sonoma. Terrible.
My work around has been to screen shot it (command-shift-4), which then attaches it to an email that I can print. If I try to send it from an email in Quickbooks, it doesn't work. You can also copy or drag the image to a blank Word or Pages doc, which looks cleaner. Lots of unnecessary extra work!
Thanks for joining the thread and for sharing your workaround to be able to print your invoices, LeadershipWorks.
There are early indications that Apple are going to address this in the upcoming updates to MacOS - tentatively planned for November and as this is external, this is something we don't have visibility on.
This issue is not QuickBooks application specific, and hence no fix could be provided from us however, to keep you back to business, you may follow one of the suggested workarounds provided by my colleagues above to be able to print your invoices via PDF.
Feel free to post again if you have any other questions, we're here to help.
i have the same
Hi LeadershipWorks,
The printing issue is happening to users who have upgraded to MacOS Sonoma recently. This is due to the removal of certain framework support by Apple in the recent OS upgrade. This is impacting printing of only those PDFs which are having characters/fonts that rely on those frameworks.
With that, as a workaround we suggest to use the steps below to keep you back to business. Here's how:
Aside from that, you may access QuickBooks on a Windows computer and print invoices.
Feel free to post your concerns in the Community or click the Reply button for follow-up questions . We'll be happy to help. Have a good day!
YES!!!!! I cant print an invoice or save as a pdf without it being blank save for template outlines. INFURIATING.
I called QB and the "specialist" I spoke with kept referencing windows even tho I repeatedly told her I ran Mac.
her response? "oh, I dont know anything about that." absolutely useless. I have a stack of invoices that need to be run and im held up by QB's equal to Jim Jordan. do better.
wow. use a windows computer? no. fix the problem. if you think its apple's problem, rattle their cage. whatever it is, refund us all our monthly subscriptions until its usable. oh, and the pdf thing? if I try to save it, its blank as well.
YEAH, RIGHT.... please contact support. the number in the upper right? 1800 046 038. something else that doesnt work. apple says its not an apple problem.
I have attempted the workaround recommended by QuickBooks of downloading the invoices into a PDF application and the Invoices are STILL BLANK when I attempt to print them or to send them to my customers.
Somebody needs to get it in gear at Intuit/QuickBooks and FIX THIS ISSUE! You’re costing your customers valuable time and money! It seems like it may be time for us to seek other options!
THE WORKAROUND DOES NOT WORK!!!
I found 3 workaround's maybe one will work for you. I am currently using 1 and 2.
1 - Export the reports to excel and print.
Good luck
same problem. cant save as a pdf as it comes up blank. the only workaround is a screen grab and then print from that. not efficient. ive called apple twice and they say its an intuit problem. im on my 3rd call to intuit and they say its an apple issue but add another 4 steps and you can patch together a workable method to print. I run a business. I have a stack of invoices that need to go out and also be SAVED. this is a waste of my already precious time. do we get a refund for the months that we are being inconvenienced????
