All invoices to customers must have a signature to make it a legal document.

How do I add a signature image on the invoice template?

Hi there, @user00474. I'm glad to show you how to add a signature image to your invoices.

At this time, you can use the Attachments section to insert a signature image to your invoice. On the invoice creation screen, simply click on the Attachments box, then add your signature image from there.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Go to the +New icon, then click on Invoices.
  3. Fill in the information, then add the signature image under Attachments.

Another option is to use a third-party tool that supports the process. You can check out one through the apps store.

For more tips while creating and personalising your invoices, you can open these articles:

On the other hand, if you're a project-based business, you can also create progress invoices to request partial payments during a project. Here's how: Set up and send progress invoices in QuickBooks Online.

Comment down below if you have any other questions while adding a signature image to your invoices. I'll be right here to help. Have a great weekend!

@user00474

Utilize a free invoicing app to have such feature and a connector to mirror the invoice data back into your QBO account.

I tried this and the signature doesn't show up on the invoice. Any other suggestions besides using a 3rd party app?

How do I add a signature image on the invoice template?

Hi there, @Shawn45.

I have other ways to insert a signature on your invoices. And that is to use an imported custom form style.

To do this, you would create a template through MS Word. Then, insert images including your signature from there. Before doing this, make sure the Import style feature is on.

Here's how:

  1. On your QuickBooks Online(QBO) account, click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose QuickBooks labs
  3. Scroll down, then toggle the Import Style feature to on.
  4. Click Done

To guide you on how to import and design custom form styles for your invoices or estimates in QBO, I suggest checking this article: Import custom form styles for invoices or estimates.

If you need help making invoices for your customers after creating a template in the future, you can check this article for the steps: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'll be around to assist you further. Have a good day.
