Can QB online version able to create sales order?

No. You will need a 3rd party inventory management app or manufacturing app to integrate with QBO.

Can QB online version able to create sales order?

Hi there, -sbtan.

Let me share some insight on whether it is possible to create a sales order in QuickBooks Online. In QuickBooks Online, the feature to create sales orders is currently unavailable. However, an alternative solution can be used to achieve a similar outcome.

You can use the Estimates feature in QuickBooks Online as a workaround for creating sales orders. Estimates allow you to create a document that outlines the details of a potential sale, including the items or services requested by the customer, quantities, pricing, and any other relevant information.

Once the customer approves the estimate and the sale is confirmed, you can easily convert the estimate into an invoice. This allows you to track the progress of the sales process and maintain accurate records of all transactions within QuickBooks Online.

To create an estimate in QuickBooks Online, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Navigate to the + New button and select Estimate under the Customers section.
  3. Fill in the necessary details, including customer information, item or service details, quantities, and pricing.
  4. Save and close the estimate once it is complete.

When the customer approves the estimate, and the sale is confirmed, you can convert the estimate to an invoice by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Sales menu.
  2. Select the All Sales tab.
  3. Locate the approved estimate in QuickBooks Online.
  4. Click on the Create Invoice button.
  5. Review the information on the invoice and make any necessary adjustments.
  6. Save and close the invoice.

By converting the estimate feature to an invoice, you can effectively manage your sales process in QuickBooks Online.

I found an article that explains how to turn an estimate into an invoice: How to Convert an Estimate into an Invoice. Though this article is for the US region, it also works on the Singapore platform.

On the other hand, you can also utilize a third-party app that integrates with QuickBooks. QuickBooks integrates with hundreds of third-party software developers. You can click on this link: Apps help QuickBooks run better when searching various apps available in QBO.

If you want to personalize your sales forms, see this guide for the detailed steps: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to ask. I'm always here to assist you further. Have a great day!

Can QB online version able to create sales order?

Will sales orders become available in Quickbooks online?  If so, when?  The above described process may work for some but will not work for us.  We use the desktop software and would convert to online but we need the sales order feature.

Ensuring that you can effectively carry out your business operations with this software is vital.  I'm here to share some details about the Sales Order feature, @Michael223

As of now, we're unable to provide a precise timeline for when the Sales Order feature will be available in QBO. With that said, I recommend sending feedback to our product developers using your online program (once you've purchased one). Here's how:

  1. Open your QBO product and select the Gear icon.
  2. Next, choose Feedback.
  3. Then, enter your product request in the box dedicated to it.
  4. After that, select Next to submit the feedback

Also, once the conversion is completed, you might notice some alterations in how features and terms are named in your books. To help you easily identify them, use this reference as a guide: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online (this article is for the US version but still applicable to ROW).

Once everything is sorted out, you can read this article to provide you guidance in setting up your QBO company: Getting Started in QuickBooks Online.

Just leave a comment below if you have other questions about managing your account. I'd be glad to provide answers to ensure your success. Have a good one.

I don't have and can't use quickbooks online because it doesn't have sales orders.  That is perfectly clear in my post.
