How to get rid of the words ‘name of no’ on top of my invoice email that is sent out to clients?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, Cheryl!

I tried to send an invoice to my email, but I can't find "name of no". Can you give us a screenshot of it?

If you are referring to "INVOICE [invoice_#]", that texts are not removable. It tells the customer which invoice they are receiving. The only thing you can change is the content of the email.

You can also check about customising invoice forms for your additional reference.

Let me know if you have other questions in mind. Take care and have a good one!

Here's how:

  1. Open the invoice that you want to send to your customer.
  2. Tap Customize button. Then hit Edit current.
  3. Click the Content tab and select the header of the invoice.
  4. Ensure to unselect the Form number tick box and click Done.

How to get rid of the words ‘name of no’ on top of my invoice email that is sent out to clients?

Hi, the 'name of no' words that I was referring to were in the EMAIL sent out to clients, and not the invoice. Even after I unselected the Form number tick box, the words "Name of No' continues to exist in the emails above my logo.

How to get rid of the words ‘name of no’ on top of my invoice email that is sent out to clients?

Hello there, @therapy-cheryl.

I want to ensure this is taken care of. First, have you tried reviewing your logo outside QuickBooks? Based on the screenshot you've provided, it seems like the Name of No is included in the logo. Make sure to remove it and reimport the logo.

Also, feel free to check our Help articles page to learn some "How do I" steps in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have any other concerns with QuickBooks. I'll be right here to help you out.

How to get rid of the words ‘name of no’ on top of my invoice email that is sent out to clients?

Hi, it’s not part of the logo because on the actual invoice, there isn’t ‘name of no’ on top. Those words only appear on the emails I sent out to clients when I want them to see the invoice.

in any case I have tried removing and adding the logo again. The same problem persists. I am also very puzzled why.

Thanks for the prompt reply, @Cheryl. I appreciate you for following the steps shared by my colleagues above. Allow me to chime in and help share some troubleshooting steps to get this resolve.

This problem could be an app-related issue. We can resolve this by resetting the data to clear its cache. It helps restore the application to its default settings. You can follow the steps below:

For the IOS version:

  1. Go to the Menu icon and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Select Refresh Data.
  3. Tap Refresh to confirm.

For Android:

  1. Go to the Menu icon, then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Tap Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Select YES to confirm.

You can also refresh the data on your Phone Settings:

  • For Android - In your phone settings, select Apps
  • Choose the QuickBooks app from the list.
  • Select Storage, then tap Clear Data.

  • For iOS - On your phone, select Settings.
  • Click on General and choose iPhone Storage. Select an app that's taking up a lot of space. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, select Offload App.

If it's the same, consider uninstalling the app, then download and reinstall it again.

If the issue persists, I highly suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further investigate this matter and provide additional troubleshooting steps to get this fix. They can also create an investigation ticket if other users are experiencing the same. To reach them, open this article for steps and support hours we offer in QuickBooks: How and when can I contact Support?

Also, I'll be adding these articles that will guide you in personalising your sales forms and how to receive your payments in QuickBooks:

Feel free to post again if there's anything else that you need help with. Take care!
