I successfully connected my QBO online account to my Maybank Personal Banking accounts seven months ago and have had no problems with it. Recently, however, the data connection seems to have broken (last update around the beginning of October). I am now unable to connect or update these accounts. I have tried several times over the past three days to reconnect, and have even disconnected my accounts and attempted to reconnect them, but I keep getting the following error message:
Note there has been no change in my bank account, no account opening or closure, and I am still able to access everything through the bank's website. Please let me know how to fix this.
Thanks!
Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser.
We recognize the urgency of having your account connected to your online banking, ackk. I've come to help rectify your bank connectivity concerns and ensure bank entries are downloaded to your online data.
Know that bank error 106 means QuickBooks is unable to locate your account on your bank's website. This usually happens when the account is closed. You may have made edits to your bank account credentials, causing your bank feeds to stop the updates.
If not, you may want to reach out to your financial institution's website and review the status of your account or check if they might have ongoing maintenance on their end. Also, we can consider manually uploading your bank's transactions to ensure these entries are accurately recorded. To do this:
For more detailed insights, you may check out this guide: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Moreover, I've included this handy resource to help you review and track downloaded transactions to put them in the correct accounts: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
We'll keep in touch in this thread if you require additional assistance managing bank transactions in your account. Just leave a reply in the comments below, and we'll be sure to back you up.
Thanks for the update, ackk.

how can i use the quickbooks to update my online transactions
Hi there, Nabilah.
I can see the urgency of connecting Maybank to QuickBooks Online (QBO). As per the status of the investigation, it is still in progress.
I know it's been a while, but rest assured our engineers are doing their best to get you back on track as soon as possible. While they do, you can utilize the WebConnect feature to download transactions and import the entries into QBO. But before doing so, please know that once the connections resolve, you might encounter duplicate entries, as the system will download your transactions automatically. That said, you'll have to exclude transactions.
For guidance in uploading and excluding your bank transactions, check out these articles:
If you haven't contacted our Customer Care Team, I suggest getting in touch with them. They can add you to our notification list and keep you updated on the progress of the investigation.

I also having the same problem, the problem also same start since early October and till now still cant connect error is 105, already more than 1 month
Same problem we've been facing here since 6th October 2023. it appears the problem is happening on Maybank only while the rest of the Malaysian bank connections are fine (Eg. Public bank and even WISE international is running fine).
Please resolve this quickly and don't ask us to upload the records manually. It's a pain when we have multiple accounts connected. Get the engineers to resolve it instead. It's been more than a month.
You can use the converter tool (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) for the time being.

I have realized this problem since maybank2u changed their website's settings to avoid scammers from attacking their client's account. Since then, all the banks connection to any overseas account are failing to make any transaction. Not only Quickbooks Online, but Google, Facebook also affected. They can't accept payment from any maybank2u account. It will suffer all the maybank2u users who have online connection to the overseas account. I have no idea what is going on with the newer maybank2u website system now.
Hi QBO team, please fix this. I still cannot connect to Maybank2u to download transactions:
Try connecting again in a few hours. (105)

I've also had the same issue.
What I would like to know is, WHAT steps have been taken in the past month? So far, all we get told is that "steps are being taken" and not what those steps are?
Considering there have been zero email updates, it would be good for QB to be transparent and at least let us know?
Hi, Jonny from KL.

Hi,
May I know if this problem (maybank2u cannot link to qbo online) has been resolved by the latest update scheduled by today - 11/20/2023?
Urgently need to use this function as year end closing is just around the corner.
Appreciate prompt feedback from your team.
Hello there.
Upon checking, the investigation regarding the bank connection between Maybank and QuickBooks is still ongoing. Although we haven't received any recent updates, please rest assured that you'll be informed immediately by our investigation team.
Also, I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online (QBO) Support Team. They can further check the investigation and provide you with recent updates.
In the meantime, you can upload the transactions manually to ensure the account is up-to-date. Download the data from your bank and map the transactions in the following supported formats or file types: How to import bank transactions using Excel CSV files?
Here's how:

I appreciate your patience as we work on this. Please keep me updated if you have further queries about connecting your bank. I'll be around anytime to assist you. Stay safe.
When will this be solved? I no longer receive any emails of update. I want to use the cashflow planner but apparently, it only works if connected to the bank.
This isn't the kind of situation we want you to experience and I can see the urgency of getting the connectivity issue with your Maybank resolved.
I've checked the open investigation and there are no updates as of right now. There isn't a definite time frame for when this will be resolved, but rest assured our engineers are doing their best to get you back on track as soon as possible.
In the meantime, we can utilize the WebConnect feature to download transactions and import the entries into QuickBooks Online. Please stop suggesting using CSV to upload. Maybank2U does not support downloading statements in CSV, so we can't use this. It's not helpful. Thanks
no they have NOT resolve this , the only solution quizbook will ask you to upload manually, but they never understand maybank user, as Maybank default statement is very hard to convert to CSV file
