Mine says 'Access Denied' 

Hi there, Audrey. It seems like you're having connectivity issues with your Maybank to QuickBooks Online. Let me share some details regarding this matter.

The previously reported issue about Maybank Malaysia was already tagged as closed and resolved. In your case, I recommend reaching out to our Phone Support team to receive accurate details regarding the connection with your financial institution. They can also create an investigation ticket if need be. Here's how you can contact them:

1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online company.
2. Click on Help (?).
3. Select the Search tab, then Contact Us.
4. Enter a description of your concern, then hit Continue.
5. Choose a way to connect: Start a chat with a support or Get a callback from the next available support.

In the meantime, you can upload your bank transactions manually. Check out this article that details the process: Manually upload transactions into QBO. You'll only need to download the transactions to a CSV file from your financial institution and upload it to your QuickBooks account.

Your transactions will be downloaded automatically as soon as your bank connection is restored. It is important to review and categorise them accurately to ensure that they are placed in the correct accounts.

Just to let everyone here know that I have written to Maybank on this issue and they mentioned that only 2 complaints have been received on this. I'm shocked since it's obvious the whole Malaysian QuickBooks user community is having problems with the Maybank bank feed.

I would encourage everyone here to please drop an email to Maybank at [email address removed] to let your voice be heard. This would encourage them to take this issue more seriously and resolve it quickly.

I honestly think it was because Quickbooks sent us updates regarding the situation. But right now, there are no further updates and it seems like Maybank is still unavailable. Maybank updated their security or something. Thankfully I used M2e which can download transactions manually in CSV. 

Did you email their support team?

Yes, I did email their team and received a phone call. As mentioned in my previous post, they have only received 2 complaints on this.

I would encourage all of you in this thread to drop them an email at mgcc alias maybank dot com dot my to let them know that more than 2 people are facing this problem.

I think Z O  H O  books facing the same issue, they are using same connection provider to Maybank

not sure how QB push the provider to solve it or change other provider. 

I've also actually tried Zoho and Xero. Same problem. To take things one step further, I also tried registering a new HSBC account and the same problem occured.

The only account that works so far is Public bank Personal. But that's a less than ideal solution for us at this point.

Again, I want to encourage everyone here who's stuck in the same mud right now to take a few minutes to email this issue to Maybank. This would encourage them to take this matter more seriously.

Same problem here. Quickbooks unable to get approval from Maybank. Maybe have security issues. Either change bank account or change accounting app may solve the problem.

I'm writing to update everyone here on this thread on the developments of this issue. Maybank has replied to my email and it appears that the bank feed integration between Maybank and Quickbooks will no longer work. Hence I'm moving forward with Public Bank as the integration is fine so far (and I hope it remains that way). But I will not be surprised if it ceases to work in future due to the tight compliance guidelines.

As for converting your PDF files to CSV files, the cheapest and most convenient option I found is actually BankStatementConverter dot com and they charge USD15/month and can cancel it anytime. It works well so far as I just need to upload the Maybank PDF files and it converts it to the right format. Uploading it to Quickbooks also has not had any glitches. Needless to say, I had to pay the USD15 subscription, and then convert all our PDF statements over the months from various accounts to upload into QuickBooks.
