Thanks for posting in the Community, @lastseeningabs-g.

In QuickBooks Online, changing the location settings within your account is not an option since the account's country is already set where the subscription was made. For more information, check out this article: Can I change the account's country?.

If you'll want to change location, you may need to create a new subscription in QuickBooks then cancel the other account to avoid double billing.

To create a new account, here's how:

  1. Open this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/choose-country/.
  2. Choose the country you want to subscribe to.
  3. Select whether to subscribe now or use a 30-day free trial and the type of subscription you will be using.
  4. Click Add another company, then enter your existing Intuit login credentials.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the account.

For the detailed instructions, see this article: Create or subscribe to another company.

After that, you can import your customers, suppliers, chart of accounts, and products and services list. Doing so will help you save your time from re-entering them. To guide you through the process, see this resource: Move your lists to QuickBooks Online

Once completed, you can now cancel the other subscription. I've got you this article for the detailed steps: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription.

Should you need anything else, just leave a comment below and I'll get back to you. Keep safe!

Thank you very much. This was extremely helpful and I have followed all instructions and worked out well.

Only tip, which isnt on this comment, but if quickbooks could make the account locations easier to find in the first place it would help greatly. I searched for ages for Botswana, and eventually went to South Africa as i couldnt find it.

But this reply was greatly helpful and i appreciate the prompt feedback
