Hi, I have been using a 2004 Quickbooks since 2004 for my business which I need to put onto nother computer with Windows 7 as the old computer is getting slower, I have managed to install it but I need to refresh the license, but I cannot seem to find a way to do it. I have called the help desk to no avail. I have the product and installation keys so there should be a way as its a legitimate Quickbooks product. I still have the CD.
Can anyone help?
Hi there, @shakui. I'm here to ensure you'll get the right support in refreshing your QuickBooks license.
If you're referring to updating the license number, below are the steps you can perform:
To get more information about this, feel free to open this article: Change a QuickBooks Desktop license number or product code. It also provides steps in updating your product code.
You can also use the Migrator Tool in reinstalling your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) program to another computer.
Then, to contact our technical support team you simply need to click the Help menu and select the QuickBooks Desktop Help option within your QBDT program.
Once everything is fine, you can now proceed in transferring your company file to another computer.
I'm here to back you up again if you have more questions about refreshing your QBDT license. Just post a reply below to notify me of your response. Have a great day ahead.

If Support refused to give you the validation code, you don't have any option but purchasing a new license. You may purchase a one time license of QBD 2019 UK version to upgrade your file than QBD 2021 UK version with the subscription.
