Hi,
I have a little issue.
My PC running quickbooks 2013 crashed and is unable to repair.
I urgently need an invoice thats on 2013. I currently have 2019 on my laptop, but it says it cannot directly upgrade the file. How can I upgrade this file?
Thanks
Hi there, @Reinhard1. I'm here to make sure you can access your company file right away.
QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2013 is already an outdated or discontinued program. This could be the reason why it crashed. We have a Data Services team that handles migrations from old versions of QBDT into the newest. I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Support team. They'll be able to submit the case and guide you through the process of uploading your company file to data services.
Once you receive the file, restore the file to your QBDT 2019. Here's how:
For more information, see Step 3 through this article: Upgrade Your Company Files.
After that, update QuickBooks so you have the latest software release.
You can always tap me if you need further assistance with upgrading your file. I'm always here available to help. Have a good one.
Which QBD country version do you have?
Hi, I've got the UK version I believe. I managed to install 2013 on my laptop, but it gave me another error, saying the company file was not created in the US version. I'm going to try through above steps and see if I can resolve the issue.
You are unable to use QBD US version to open the file created on QBD UK version. Just to clarify your needs, do you need to cross-grade your file of QBD 2013 UK version to QBD 2019 US version?
