Hello there, @jason-sonko.
Here are some of the possible reasons you're unable to link your bank to QuickBooks Online (QBO):
When you connect your account for the first time, you can use your bank website's URL. This ensures you're using the correct listing and connects the right one. Let me guide you how.
Once your bank is performing system maintenance, you can manually update your account. This refreshes the connection between your financial institution and the program. Let me guide you how.
I've attached a screenshot below that shows the first three steps.
Then, you'll have to sign in to your bank's website. This is to check your account page for messages or alerts that need your attention. Once you make changes on the website (i.e. login credentials and account info), you'll have to update QuickBooks as well. Here's how:

However, in case you're still unable to link the bank to the program or it doesn't appear as a choice, I'd recommend requesting support for your bank. You can learn more about this by checking out this article's Request support for your bank section: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking. Then, you can download the bank transactions using Web Connect or import them from Excel CSV file into QBO.
Once linked, your latest transactions will automatically be downloaded. All you have to do is review and/or match them to the existing entries in QuickBooks. For the step-by-step guide, kindly refer to this article: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. It also contains instructions about excluding personal and duplicate transactions.
Additionally, I'd also recommend reconciling your bank account every month. This is to monitor your expenses and detect errors accordingly. To learn more about this, you can refer to this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online. It includes information about editing completed reconciliations.
I want to make sure I've got everything covered. You can share any error messages you've encountered and the name of your financial institution. This way, I can provide an exact resolution.
Please know that you're always welcome to comment below if you have other concerns or follow-up inquiries about linking bank accounts and managing online banking transactions in QBO. I'm just around to help. Take care always.
