How to enter a multicurrency bill ? I have enabled the multicurrency within the settings

Thanks for the prompt reply, @mavibya-gmail-co.

Since none of the steps works for you, let's perform a few troubleshooting steps to get this resolve. This could be a browser-related issue. The stored cache can affect the performance of QuickBooks which can cause unexpected behavior.

To begin, I'd suggest logging in to your QBO account via a private window. This doesn't use the existing cache files, which makes it a good place to determine if there's an issue with the browser.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

After signing in, try to create a bill again or follow the steps I've shared above. If it works, let's clear the cache of your browser. This helps remove its stored cache to improve the program's performance.

Otherwise, I'd also recommend using different browsers. They'll provide you with the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks. For more details, see this article: System Requirements For QuickBooks.

If the issue continues to occur, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They have the tools to check your account and investigate why you're unable to create a bill using foreign currency. To reach them, check out this article: QuickBooks Online Support.

I'll be sharing our Help page for QuickBooks. It contains articles that will help and guide you with your future task in QuickBooks.

Keep me posted and let me know how this goes. Add a comment below if you have any other questions. I'm always here to help you out. Take good care, @mavibya-gmail-co.

How to enter a multicurrency bill ? I have enabled the multicurrency within the settings

It's a pleasure to help you with your concern today, mavibya-gmail-co.

After turning on the multicurrency, you'll want to add a vendor with foreign currency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Here’s how to add a vendor with their currency:

  1. From the left menu, go to Expenses.
  2. Select Vendors, then New Vendor.
  3. Enter the vendor's name and other info.
  4. From the I pay this vendor with dropdown menu, select the currency you use to pay this vendor.
  5. Click Save when you’re done.

Learn more about what will happen after you turn on Multicurrency: Learn about Multicurrency in QuickBooks Online.

You might also want to visit our QuickBooks Online learning guides for tutorials and webinars about the product.

The steps you've performed will allow you to create a bill using multi-currency, @mavibya-gmail-co.

Since it shows the home currency, you'll have to double-check the vendor profile and make sure that your supplier is using the foreign currency. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Expenses, and then select Suppliers
  2. Look for the name of the vendor in the Currency column and make sure it shows EUR.
  3. Tick the vendor's profile and click Edit.
  4. Under Track payments for 1099 make sure that it shows I pay this vendor with EUR Euro.

If it shows the home currency, you can delete and recreate the supplier's profile. Just click the Make inactive in the Action column dropdown.

Once done, follow the steps shared by my colleague Charies_M on how to add a supplier and make sure to choose the foreign currency in the I pay this vendor with dropdown.

I'll be adding these articles that will guide you in adding transactions using foreign currency and how to enter bills and record bill payments:

How to enter a multicurrency bill ? I have enabled the multicurrency within the settings

Hello there. I've got steps we can perform in setting up multi-currency rates in QuickBooks Online.

One of the advantages of QuickBooks Online is its ability to simplify transaction recording for our global business, eliminating the need for manual exchange rate conversions. However, it's worth noting that this feature is not available in the QuickBooks Online Simple Start version. If you're currently using that version, it may be worth considering an upgrade to access this functionality.

Prior to enabling the feature, it's important to note that once activated, you won't be able to disable it or modify your home currency. This is because the system needs to consistently account for currency conversions going forward.

When ready, here's how to turn it on:

  1. Go to Gear icon then select Account and settings.
  2. Select Advanced and hit Edit in the Currency section.

  3. From the Home Currency ▼ dropdown, select your currency.
  4. Activate the Multicurrency switch and acknowledge that this action cannot be reversed.
  5. Select Save, then Done.

Clicking on the Manage Currencies link will direct you to the Currencies page, where you can oversee and handle the currencies you utilize.

Additionally, feel free to browse through this article I've included for your reference in case you need to create home currency adjustments: Enter home currency adjustments for your foreign balances in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any further questions or encounter any difficulties along the way, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'm here to provide you with the support you need to ensure your global business management in QuickBooks Online is seamless. Thank you for choosing QuickBooks, and have a wonderful day!
