Welcome back, @T190.

Yes, QuickBooks allows you to add URLs in your invoice email message template. To do so, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Click the Gear icon, then select Custom form styles.
  3. Select the invoice template you want to edit and click Edit under the Action column.
  4. Go to the Emails tab.
  5. In the Message to customer field, enter your message and add the URL.
  6. Click Done.

I'm adding this article to learn more about customising sales forms in QBO: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

You may also want to view all your sales transactions in QBO. You can go to the Sales menu and select All Sales. This will give you a great view of the status of sales transactions, open invoices, and paid invoices.

Consider having a free invoicing app as a workaround to insert URL as the the payment link and use a connector to mirror invoice data to QBO.

It's our pleasure to have you back in the thread, @T190. I appreciate you for giving us further details about your payment platform.

It would be convenient for you to include a link to your payment platform in the email messages that facilitate invoices in QuickBooks Online. Your payment platform, however, is not integrated with QBO. I would suggest contacting their support to see if they have a feature that allows you to insert a hyperlink to invoices. They may be able to provide you with additional information about Easy Payments Plus.

EPP advise that the portal page is just hosted on a standard URL.

Does QBO allow a normal URL be included in the email message template (or in the invoice template)?

I want to put the hyperlink when sending statements, not invoices. Can this be done?

Having the option to send hyperlinks when sending statements is convenient for your business needs. Let me guide you on how you can send a request for this function, sunset.

For now, inserting hyperlinks to statements is unavailable. As a workaround, you can export your statement and insert it from there when you email them to your customer.

You'll also want to send feedback to let our product team know how convenient is this for your business needs. To do so, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then click Next to submit feedback.

In addition, you may need to record the payment for your customer so the invoice will be marked as paid, check out this article for more details: Record Invoice Payments In QuickBooks Online.

Please get back to us if you need further assistance with sending a statement. We'll be right here to help you.

But how to hyperlink? You can add text in the "message to customer" field but I don't see a text editor or any way to add a hyperlink

I can see the need to add a hyperlink to your invoice email message, Jason.

The functionality is not currently available in QuickBooks Online. To ensure that our product development team fully understands your needs, I'd suggest sending feedback to our product development team.

Please know that we receive numerous requests from our customers for new features, and the time it takes to implement them varies based on demand and specific needs.

As an alternative solution, consider looking into a third-party application that allows you to incorporate a hyperlink into an invoice, which can seamlessly integrate with QuickBooks. You can visit our QuickBooks App Store to find one.
