When will Multi currency Cashflow Planner availability?

The Cash Flow Planner is a tool that forecasts the money going in and out of your business, Grk1.

It uses historical data from your bank account. Although, the Multi-currency enabled files are still unavailable. We're unable to provide the date when this feature will be out.

You can check this reference about Cash Flow Planner for more information.

Thanks Kristine. It just seems kinda crazy that a multi-currency file can have access to the Cashflow Dashboard widget (with a projection element) but not the actual cashflow tab?

I'll add more details about the Cashflow Planner, grk1.

It's no available at this time mainly because conversion amounts changes from time to time, depending on the current exchange rates. Because of this, QuickBooks Online is unable to forecast future recurring income and expenses.

We will let you know as soon as the feature will become available for accounts that have multi currency. You can also visit this site where you can see the updates and new features added in QBO: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/blog/whats-new/.

Why wouldn't you just connect a widget that pulls in the Fx data as an estimate and just create a confidence interval depending on how many days/months out it is. Cashflow planning is all about being a crystal ball and just create a delta. It's going to be wrong. Cash flow projections are always off, just like budgets, you adjust as you get closer to reality.

Seems like a no-brainer.

And if a company is complicated enough to use multi-currencies they need this service more than the little guys who don't...

I also agree.. how is Cash Flow planner not available for multi currency users? We're able to run reports as normal and the system automatically converts accounts in different currencies into the home currency based on that days conversion rate, why would the planner simply not do the same thing?

Are there any other tools out there that have this functionality that possibly integrate with Quickbooks? This is very disappointing that it's not available within multi currency accounts

When will Multi currency Cashflow Planner availability?

I was looking to use this for a client with multi-currency and it is just odd that multi-currency transactions cannot be added into the cash flow.

When producing a manual cashflow for this client, I either use the value the invoices was posted at or an average exchange rate (depending on the value), there is always an assumption that they will be paying/receive a slightly different amount when the cash transaction happens.

The businesses that use multi-currencies are more likely to need the cash flow planner as they may be larger and have more  transactions than single currency users. This could drive these users to other platforms, QuickBooks, not a great business decision.

Until the cash flow planner is available for multi-currency, I will continue to use a spreadsheet.

When will Multi currency Cashflow Planner availability?

So folks, it is coming up on a whole year since Cashflow planner in QBO has been launched....and while there have been product developments on this product....there is still no functionality for multi-currency cashflow planner?

What is the timeline for development? Is it even on a development list? Should I give up on QBO ever having this function, cut my losses and find another option?

Yours in frustration!

When will Multi currency Cashflow Planner availability?

Can we not just set a standard conversion rate?  Then we can update the actual FX like normal at year end?

This is crazy. Just base forecast on current exchange rates, as simple as that.

Please ask a more specific question.  What i want you to do is to allow me to set the FX rate for cash flow planning and I can accept that I will have some inherent error in my cash plan that I can correct as i go.  This would also be help for running sensitivity analyses related to FX on business performance.
