This is now happening for me and I need to get into quickbooks to get invoices out to clients that are currently waiting for them so they can pay us. One of the reasons our clients come to us is because of quick response time, if we can't do that we could lose business. Please help ASAP.
Continuing to get the "504 Bad Gateway Error"
I've cleared my cache and restarted my computer. I am not having an issue with any other website.
I am also getting this error today on 1/6/20 and desperately need this fixed asap. Tried all the options in this thread and nothing works.
We've been having the same issues through the holiday break (so had issues closing out invoices for clients to pay by end of year) and do NOT get me started on the problem that occurred for direct deposit of payroll for one of the contractors. Good thing I checked because the pop up would not let me out - I had to continue hitting submit (saying that an error had occurred - if I had not looked one of the contractors would have been paid four times!!!! Then you could not delete those three extras I had to void them) This is starting to not be a proficient or efficient way for us to handle our small business) I'm thinking we may need to re-evaluate as QB won't let me bypass taxes (our accountant does those) all we use it for is invoices and direct deposit for payroll. We have less than five employees including the owner) and we have no inventory - we're similar to a doctor's office. My frustration level over the last two months with QB continues to grow with all the issues (clients do not have time to stand there while I sign out and sign in 20+ times trying to get into invoices and I can't let them leave as they want their receipt etc. Going to go bang my head (more) LOL
Same issue. The problem is still not fixed 11:32 AM EST. I can't access the "Let's Talk" feature through your Help section because I can't log into My Quickbooks Online account. I've cleared my cache data and tried in a different Google Chrome incognito browser. Help!
Same problem. I didn't have this "504" issue at all until yesterday. What the heck is wrong with this company? Do we all have to go online and start posting our opinions of the lousy service we've had?
For what it is worth - it's not just online. I mostly use QB on my PC (that we downloaded); and I worked IT for many years so I know about cache and rebooting etc. This problem has existed for some time - only it's spread to more and more. We keep a lot of personal information (email, addresses etc) saved regarding our clients - I really hope that the fix you're rolling out works for everyone and quickly and resolves this issue permanently.
I think it has something to do with the recent updates on the Online screen. A few days ago the company changed it. Something about it would help process faster. Well, what do you know? First Monday of the year and no one can get into their Online account. Imagine that! Thank you Intuit, for the outstanding service you provide on a day everyone needs the system. For the elevated rates we pay to use an Online system that is a shadow of the desktop version.
We are aware of this issue where customers are getting error 504 (Bad Gateway) when attempting to log into their QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, and are working to fix it as soon as possible.

Okay, we seem to be back up and running. It's noon EST and we've only wasted one hour trying to figure this thing out. Accolades for the tech's who get it fixed. This time. Keep up the good work and remember that those of us who use the system expect it to work right every time. Most of us aren't software engineers, so a complex reason for why it clunked won't do us any good. Thanks for the help.

A bit of progress on my end...a spinning wheel of death with the following message: Shell service failed to fetch url - https://qbo.intuit.com/qbo9/v1/company/[removed]5236/uibootstrap?destination=homepage
Now my QB is completely blank - nothing there ... it's an EMPTY SPACE on the downloaded part and when trying to login online it says error 404! for goodness sake UGH

This is seriously a huge issue. I have had three (3) clients that could NOT PAY and I'm fuming - I can't invoice them either. There are certain clients you need the money taken right then and there or they won't take and because of insurance purposes I have to as well.
I'd use Square but a couple clients pay via paypal; I'm going to have to look at another option for our services it looks like and ASAP. I have never been so distraught - this is a huge red mark against QB IMPO.
