Event Privacy Statement

Quick Fest 2024

Tuesday 27 November 2024 and Thursday 29 November 2024 This Event Privacy Statement sets out how Intuit Inc. and the Intuit group companies(collectively "Intuit," "we," "us," or "our") collect, use, and share your personal data when you register and attend Quick Fest and participate in event activities, such as polls, networking, and interviews (collectively, the "Event"). This Event Privacy Statement supplements the Intuit Global Privacy Statement, which provides more information on how Intuit collects and processes your personal data. You acknowledge that Intuit will use and maintain my personal data according to the Intuit Global Privacy Statement in connection with the Event.

Personal Data:By registering for the Event, you provide us with your full name, email address, telephone number, website, number, Postcode, Dietaries. We may collect additional information from you when you participate in activities during the Event, such as polls, networking, interviews, and virtual functionalities. This may include profile information and content you provide to the networking chat functionality available from the Event platform ("Chat"), your presentation (if you are a speaker), and photographs or recordings containing your image or voice (for example, if you are interviewed about the Event).

Purpose: We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Register, facilitate, and manage your attendance at the Event;
  • Send you updates and details relating to the Event;
  • Create marketing content to promote and advertise the Event and the Intuit Group’s products and services such as QuickBooks Online and Mailchimp, any future similar events;
  • Perform follow up actions after the Event, such as distributing or sending swag, photographs, and survey evaluations via \post, email or other shipment methods;
  • Handle any queries, complaints, or legal claims and ensure legal regulatory compliance.

Legal Basis: We are required to have a legal basis to process your personal data. We process your personal data to perform our contract with you, including for registration and to provide the Event, where the processing is in our legitimate business interests, such as operating our businesses, and improving and developing our services, communicating with you including in relation to promotions and sale of Intuit Group products and services, and personalizing your experience. We process your personal data where we have your consent to do so, for example we will use it to market our offerings and services. You may withdraw your consent for us to market to you at any time by using the opt-out facilities that appear on all marketing communications from us or by visiting www.intuit.com/privacy and selecting ‘Update Preferences’.

Recipients.We share your personal data with Intuit's trusted service providers like Hey Summit and Journey.io who provide the in person registration event platform and event messaging. Hey Summit will build an event platform app which will include chat functionality, polls, networking, and appointment booking. Both Hey Summit and Journey.io will not use your personal data for any purpose other than to facilitate platform app for QuickFest.

If during the Event, you elect to share your personal data with any Intuit sponsor or exhibitor, then we will share the data in accordance with your express instructions. We may also share your personal data with our employees and the Intuit group companies

Data Retention: We do not keep your personal data for longer than necessary. The personal data provided in the registration form will be kept for 7 years following the Event. Any videos or photographs and personal data collected during the Event will be retained for 7 years following the Event. Data Protection Rights Which May Apply To You:

  • You may access, correct, update or request deletion of your personal information.
  • You can object to processing of your personal information, ask us to restrict processing of your personal information or request portability of your personal information.
  • You have the right to opt-out of marketing communications we send you at any time. To update your marketing communication preferences, you can go to the marketing preference tools in your account settings or visit the Intuit Privacy Centre for more information. You may also click unsubscribe at the bottom of the marketing emails.
  • If we have collected and processed your personal information with your consent, then you can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • You have the right to complain to us using our contact information below or directly to any data protection authority about our collection and use of your personal information (Contact details for OAIC here).

International Data Transfers: We may process your personal data in the United States and other countries where Intuit or its affiliates, subsidiaries, or service providers operate facilities in accordance with and as permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
