How do I email a payslip? And how can I check that it has been sent?

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your inquiry. 

Once you have finalised a pay run, you can use below steps to publish / email payslips:

  1. Go to the Employee tab from left navigation menu
  2. Click Pay run tab to review all pay run finalised 
  3. Select the Pay run that you would like to send payslips
  4. Click Publish Pay Slips button to send payslips


You can use below steps to check if the pay slip is emailed successfully:

  1. Go to the Employee tab from left navigation menu
  2. Click Payroll Settings tab 
  3. Under Business Management column, select Mail Log
  4. Select date range or email address to help checking delivery status


When the pay slips are sent successfully to the employees, they will be listed in each employee card. You can use below steps to check pay slip in the employee card:

  1. Go to the Employee tab from left navigation menu
  2. Click the employee's name to open his / her card
  3. Under Employee Management heading, select Pay Slips
  4. Hover over the date to email or download the pay slip

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Is there any sign of this feature coming to the Canadian Version of QBO?

Thank you for your inquiry.

As you are checking the Canadian version of QBO which can be different to the Australian version of QBO, I would recommend you to clarify with the support team for Canadian version of QBO.

Hi Mansh,

 

The Mail log shows emails that have bounced, so if there are none showing this means that all payslips have sent successfully. To review these, you can do so in the Employee's card by:

 

  1. Go to the Employee tab 
  2. Click the employee's name to open his / her card
  3. Select the Pay Slips menu
  4. You will see all payslips that have been published/sent here. Hover over the individual payslip to email or resend.  

If the payslip has a Not Published status, this option was not selected when finalising the payrun and has not yet been sent to the employee. I have also replied to your posted question here.
