All fixed, It ended up being Firefox needing an update even though it usually auto-updates.
Why would I want to change to another browser just to use quickbooks. The website should be backward compatible at least a few versions.
It could be that you've zoomed in your browser, denis.
We can zoom it out to make the page smaller. Press Ctrl key on your keyboard and the minus (-) repeatedly. Also, let's make sure to maximize the browser so we can view the full QuickBooks Online page. Just click on the Square button beside the X at the right top.
Let's also check your computer's display settings. QuickBooks Online requires the screen resolution is set to 1024x768 or higher and the Dots-per-inch (DPI) set to "Normal" or "100%". You can follow these steps to check it:
For Windows:
For Mac OS:
Any of these steps will help you to view the full QuickBooks Online page. Post again if you need more help.
Thanks for the reply but I have to zoom out to see the whole form. As for the resolution, I will check when I get back to the office but is an unlikely remedy.
Are there any QuickBooks settings that would change the view?
Hi Denis, thanks for reaching out. It would be really helpful if you could send a screenshot of what it looks like since the change. Once I see the view you have then I will be able to have a look into if there are any Quickbooks settings that may have changed the view. Thanks Denis, look forward to helping you have this resolved.
Cheers!
Hi denis,
Based on your screenshot, it looks like this is something to do with the browser that you're using. You can click the maximize button on the upper-right corner beside the close icon to view the whole invoice or quote.
Otherwise, you can also use another browser like Google Chrome.
I have included this link in case you have other questions about QuickBooks Online (QBO): Manage Customers And Income.

I have the same issue. It is tied to Firefox. I tried chrome and it works fine. However, I can't use chrome due to a problem with another cloud based app we use. I checked all solutions within this conversation, nothing changes the view in Firefox. Also, checked that Firefox is up to date....it is. Is there nothing else that can be done? This only started occurring several days ago.....

Yep the update worked for a day, now its back. I have given up with Quickbooks, there is no way to just report an issue. We shouldn't need to zoom our browser or change to another browser because of a website programing fault.
I have had QB help look at my computer, my Firefox is up to date, downloaded Chrome and it works. Seems to be a website issue and I have been told it will be passed on to 'our senior product specialist'
I'm glad everything works fine now, denis.
Moving forward if you encounter the same issue, make sure you're browser is updated to the latest release.
Using a different browser can also be an option.
Feel free to post here again if there's anything that I can help you with.
Everything doesn't work fine, QB is still not working properly with Firefox.

Welcome to the Community, @denis.
For now, the only workaround available is switching to a different supported browser. Please also know our engineers are diligently finding a solution to get this feature working back to normal
Since you already contacted our QuickBooks Support, we'll be sending you updates soon regarding the resolution status via email. While the safety of your data is our top priority, I recommend contacting our QBO Care Team for any follow up needed.

If I use the 'User Agent Switcher' plugin for Firefox, set for explorer11, reload the page, set it back to default(Firefox) it works ok.

I have the most recent version of Chrome and I have this problem now. It just started today. The page is stretched so far horizontally that no matter how much I minimize the page, it doesn't change the horizontal stretch. This is very frustrating, as the screen jumps around every time I try to scroll over to see the whole page. Been using QB for years so please don't tell me I did something to the settings. I know I did not.
Hello, suemail.
Display issue can definitely ruin our experience and it's indeed frustrating when navigating through a program. I have a solution to help you resolve the stretching issue.
Aside from checking the version, this is likely a cache issue since it started all of a sudden. To confirm this, let's use a private or incognito window to rule this out. Press Ctrl + Shift + N while Google Chrome is open.
From there, access QuickBooks Online as you normally would. When there's no horizontal stretch, you'll want to go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. Close it afterwards to complete the process.
Alternatively, you can use another supported browser aside from Chrome.
If you're using the Windows app, you'll want to click on Help then select Reset App Data. This works exactly like clearing the cache.
After fixing the issue, you can browse our articles if you need help doing a specific task. They have steps and other important details like managing income and expenses.
I can help you out with any other concerns in QuickBooks Online. Just post your reply here again and I'll get back to you.
I love hearing everytime there is an issue to 'use a different browser'. Of course this would work in this case if it is a cache issue. Mine had this issue again briefly the other day but seemed to rectified itself.
Why do I have to fiddle about every time i click in a different view to change every single column manually so I can see all the information?
I must be missing something because this cannot be something everyone who uses QBO has to do.
It is so time consuming and you cannot save the views once you have it the way you want it. I use Google Crome and have already tried using the Hamburger Button. All it does is remove the options to the left it does not help with manually adjusting each column and it does not zoom in or out.
Please advise.
Hi Zen85,
I know how it can be inconvenient to manually adjust the length column just to see all the information.
When you enter long information into your transactions, QuickBooks Online is unable to show the entire characters with its default column length. You'll have to alter the column length to view the whole information.
For now, clicking the Hamburger icon will help you expand the column since it closes/collapses the sidebar menu. However, if the data is very long, you'll still have to manually adjust the length of the column.
Please know that we're closely monitoring our customers' ideas/suggestions and take them into consideration when prioritizing feature development. That said, I encourage sending feedback to our Product Development Team. We'd like to take this opportunity to improve your QuickBooks experience.
Here's how to do it:

I also experience the same problem of not seeing the full screen since this Monday. It suddenly happened while I was working on QB screens and did so many things after reading Help options but can't get back to the old format(Seeing the whole report /Activity on the full screen. I'm using Mac OS since last October but this happened suddenly while working on QB and cannot be resolved. Please help.
Thanks.
