Trying to lodge my first payroll event and I get the following warning.
It doesn't make sense as all of the information is there.
There are validation issues with the Business Settings:
Hello NightOwlCo,
This error message often has to do with missing or incorrect information in the Business Management Software (BMS) ID or ABN fields in the company's settings. Can you please check both using the following steps.

Yes the BMS ID is empty
Hi NightOwlCo,
The BMS ID field is automatically pre-filled with a unique code when you switch on payroll and enable e-lodgement. If the code has been removed, you can follow Ken's advice above to contact our Support Team who will assist you in retrieving that code. Once it has been entered in and saved, you should be able to proceed with lodgement. You can click here to contact them or do so in-product by:

I've contacted support via chat. Extremely unhelpful. Ignored my first statement about the missing BMS ID. I haven't had a response for about 15 minutes in the active chat.

Oh the chat is still active.
Almost an hour how.
Assumptions that I have done something incorrectly.
Direction to add a BMS ID from other software - assuming I have used other software - which I haven’t.
Ultimately trying to do anything other than fix the fact that the BMS ID was never generated.
Thanks QBO. One issue after the next.
If I re-add my company details as an additional employing entity, then copy the BMS ID generated for the clone entity, I can then add that as "BMS ID from previous software" to work around the issue caused by the BMS ID not being generated?
I wouldn't see that as being an issue given that the BMS ID generated would be generated based on the same company information and ABN.
Hi NightOwlCo,
I think in terms of understanding what BMS ID is required for your payroll profile you should not create another entity at this time and use this current BMS ID. I think it would be in your best interest to speak over the phone and we put you in contact with our payroll escalation team. Please feel free to give our team a call on 1800 046 038 (8:30 - 6:30pm , Mon-Fri AEST) where we can make sure to escalate this correctly for you and resolve your issue ASAP.
Thanks
-Steven
I called.
They have no idea how to fix it.
Hello NightOwlCo,
Thank you for getting in touch with our support team.
I have advised our support team of the situation, and asked them to refer it to the payroll escalation team to be investigated.
The payroll team will be in touch with you when they have looked into the issue and can help you resolve it.
