I'm trying to connect UOB bank account. They are asking for a Security Access Code. Where can I find this code?

I'm here to help you get the bank codes you need in connecting your UOB account, @yihao-kuriosity-.

A bank code is a numerical code assigned to a specific bank in order to identify it during financial transactions such as bank transfers. The codes are national and are generally assigned by a country’s central bank or banking body.

You can actually search the bank codes using your browser or contact your UOB bank.

Here are some list of UOB bank codes: https://www.uob.com.sg/assets/pdfs/global/achcode.pdf

I'm expecting you can connect your UOB bank with the codes provided. Make sure to drop your additional question and I'll be happy to answer them for you.

Let me help you with connecting your bank account, Yihao-kuriosity-.

The security number is the same as the 2-Factor Authentication. It's an extra level of protection to reduce fraud. Aside from calling your bank, you can see this code with your online banking app or website. Or, you also get a text message with the code. Then, you have to type it in our program.

You can also check this article for better guidance: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

I've exactly the same problem. I get the code from the BIB Token but the problem is they show the total bank balances but did not download the Bank Feed. Any advice?

Thanks for joining this conversation, @SGRuth.

The browser's cache and cookies may be the reason why the bank feed didn't download. It can sometimes cause some unusual behavior. To isolate this, try singing try signing into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private browser (incognito).

Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox).
  • Control Option (Safari).

Once logged in, go back to the Banking page to double-check. If it's successfully downloaded, return to your default browser and perform a clear cache to refresh the system. However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers.

You also have the option to download them manually in QBO. For the step-by-step guide, please check out this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

To learn more about managing bank transactions, I suggest visiting this article: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or issues in the comment section below. I'm always here to help. Have a wonderful rest of the day!

I'm trying to connect UOB bank account. They are asking for a Security Access Code. Where can I find this code?

I tried your method on logging in through Private Browser. Nothing change. And, I download the CSV file from my bank to manually upload to Quickbooks. The error message that I get is this: Your file does not contain the three required columns: transaction date, memo and amount.

Should I work on the CSV file and only include these 3 column for Quickbook to work?

Hi @SGRuth,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I'll share insight into your query about the upload process of CSV files in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The CSV file can have three or more columns, and it would still work fine. The system will ask you to map out which column is the DateDescription, and Amount. Another format is DateDescriptionDebitCredit. Learn more of the two types of formats available for your CSV files in this article: Import bank transactions using Excel CSV files

If you encounter any other errors during this process, I suggest you refer to this article: Fix bank upload errors in QuickBooks Online. It has a list of common errors you may encounter during a CSV file upload, along with the steps on how you can resolve it.

Feel free to reply and tag me in the comments below if you have other questions. I'll be sure to get back to you.

Dear all,

Recently we have tried to connect Quickbook with UOB Bank feed, but the results is failed and we found out that UOB have update their login portal from UOB BIB to https://www.uob.com.sg/corporate/infinity/index.html

Kindly confirm whether Quickbook will update the latest login link to Quickbook to let my clients' quickbook connect to UOB Bank Singapore.

Thank you.

Hello there, Awen Lee.

I can help you update your bank's website.

When there are updates with your bank such as login or website, we recommend that you manually update it in QuickBooks as well.

We'll be disconnecting your account and reconnect it using the bank's new URL (website). Before we do so, I'd suggest adding or matching your transaction that's on the For Review tab since it will be removed after you disconnect. No worries, those that are already in your register will not be deleted and remain as is.

Here are the easy steps on how to disconnect a connected bank:

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions. Then select the Banking tab.
  2. Click the tile for the UOB bank account.
  3. Select the pencil icon, then select Edit account info.
  4. Check the Disconnect this account on save box. If QuickBooks is downloading new transactions, you won't see this option. Wait a few minutes for the update to finish and try again.
  5. Select Save and Close.

Then, connect your account again and ensure that you copy and paste the updated bank's URL.

Keep me posted if there's anything else that you need help with. I'll be glad to help through it. Have a good one!

I'm trying to connect UOB bank account. They are asking for a Security Access Code. Where can I find this code?

Hi there,

I can't connect my quickbook to UOB infinity account as this is not one of the option. It used to be BIBplus account for UOB corporate account but my new account doesn't have BIBplus at all. How can i link QB to the UOB infinity account?

I'm trying to connect UOB bank account. They are asking for a Security Access Code. Where can I find this code?

Let's perform some steps to see if this is just triggered by your bank, or in QuickBooks Online (QBO), cozyhomes.

I've checked here on my end and there's no reported case about this one. There are a few possible reasons why we can't connect your bank to QBO. Among these are:

  • Your bank has multiple names on our list. Make sure you have selected the correct listing or have tried all possible links. Search by the banking sign-in URL to ensure you are using the correct listing.
  • Your bank does not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal accounts vs business accounts).
  • Your bank is not a participating financial institution.

To connect your UOB Infinity account, just follow the steps and details in the Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to the online banking article. If the same thing happens, just download transactions from your bank's website and upload them to QBO. Just follow the steps and details in the Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online article. You can also import bank transactions from Excel CSV files to QuickBooks OnlineOnce done, please contact our Customer Support Team to investigate what's causing this issue.

Feel free to visit our Banking page for more insights about managing your bank feeds and reconciling accounts.

I'd like to know how you get on after trying the steps or after contacting support, as I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Feel free to reply to this post and I'll get back to you. Take care always.

I want to make sure this gets sorted out, @SebasFP.

Our Banking team is still actively working with your bank to resolve the connection issue you're experiencing. I know it's been a while, but I assure you, we are doing our best to get you back on track in no time.

At this time, we don't have a specific time frame for when the changes are added. For now, let's manually upload your bank transactions. I'd be glad to guide you how.

  1. Sign in to your Bank website and follow the instructions to download the file as QBO, .CSV, or .QFX (maximum file size 350KB).
  2. Once done, go to the Banking or Transactions menu in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  3. Click the Banking tab
  4. Select Upload transactions.
  5. Click Browse and then select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then select Next.
  6. In the QuickBooks account drop-down, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then select Next.
  7. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks, then click Next.
  8. Then simply click Let's go when you're ready.

You can also check this article for more details: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Upon completion, you can now categorise and reconcile your account as soon as you're ready. If you see an error message, here's how to correct errors when uploading your transactions.

Also, please feel free to refer to these articles below about handling banking transactions, various accounts, and other related matters.

Keep me posted if you have any other questions about connecting your bank to QuickBooks Online. I'll make sure to get back to you as soon as I can. Take good care, @SebasFP.

I appreciate the quick response, but you have to admit that because this issue has been going on for months that it doesn't give a lot of confidence this will be resolved soon... That's just not acceptable, '20k banks' supported but one of the biggest business banks in Singapore is left out...

Like I said, I might have made a different decision if I had known that before signing up for 1 year...

Thank you for joining this thread, argieretana.

It's my pleasure to provide a workaround so your bank transactions are entered into QuickBooks. As UOB BiBPlus was replaced by UOB Infinity in Dec 2020, their new website isn't allowing QuickBooks Online to connect with it.

As a workaround, you can download transactions from your bank using a CSV format. Then, manually import them to QuickBooks.

Additionally, you can also send a request to have the UOB Infinity supported in QBO. I'd be glad to show you how.

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  2. Click Add account.
  3. Search for the name of your financial institution.
  4. If you’re still unable to find your bank, select Request support for your bank.
  5. Enter your bank's web address (URL) in the field provided, then select Request2.PNG

You can also contact UOB and check for an update about their online banking with QuickBooks. They can provide more details about the status of the connection.

In case you're having issues when importing bank transactions, check out this link: Fix bank upload errors in QuickBooks Online. It provides specific steps to fix it.

Keep me posted if there's anything else you need about connecting the UOB Infinity account to QuickBooks. I'm always right here to provide answers to your questions.

I'm trying to connect UOB bank account. They are asking for a Security Access Code. Where can I find this code?

This doesn't work for UOB Infiniti members as we don't have the option to download our transactions in CSV format.

It's absolutely unacceptable that Quickbooks hasn't been able to solve this for months. We need a proper timeline asap.

I'm trying to connect UOB bank account. They are asking for a Security Access Code. Where can I find this code?

Dear all,

any update about the connection between Infinity UOB and QB ?

We tried several times with no success....

If in the meantime, we need to go "manual" with importing CSV files, I have a question:

We have 2 accounts at UOB, one in USD (which is our main currency and the one used for all accounting final accounts) and one in SGD.

How should I proceed ? Create 2 bank accounts in our chart of accounts ? and then ?

Thanks

Greg

Joining the thread to help with your banking-related concerns, Greg.

Connecting Infinity UOB accounts is still not possible in QuickBooks Online. You'll want to add a request about this to our product engineers. Go to the last par of this article on how to do it: Find Your Bank or Credit Card Account When You Connect to Online Banking.

You would also need to create two accounts to separate and add transactions with their own currency. I'll also be sharing the steps on how to import the CSV file. Here's how

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  2. Click Upload transactions.
  3. Select Drag and drop or Select files, then select the CSV file for the correct bank account. Then, select Continue.
  4. Go to the drop-down list for QuickBooks account, then select the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  5. Click Continue and follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then, select Continue.
  6. Select all the transactions that you want to import. Then, select Continue.
  7. Click Yes, then select Done.

Additional guidance when working with your banking transactions are also shared here:

As always, feel free to reach out to us again if you need anything else. We'd love to offer our help to you again.
