Why can’t I move my data from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online?
by Intuit• Updated 1 year ago
We are working on a new migration process that will make moving your data from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online as seamless as possible. The new migration process will:
- Improve the overall moving experience to QuickBooks Online
- Improve the quality of data transferred and increase the size of data files we can migrate
What does this mean?
Unfortunately, we have to temporarily hit the pause button on all QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online migrations, starting on June 16.
This means that we won't be able to help you transfer your QuickBooks Desktop data over to QuickBooks Online. However, you can still manually move your data across using the Excel CSV files.
The good news is that the new migration process will allow you to move larger files with no size limitations!
We'll update this space as soon as the new and improved migration process is back online.
Why didn't you tell me?
We are committed to developing easy and straightforward financial tools that help you grow your business. Helping you stay compliant is our top priority.
As you may already know, we are discontinuing our Desktop offering in South Africa.
The decision was made quickly to move to a solution that will allow us to provide the best support to our customers, as well as making the move from QuickBooks Desktop to Online as smoothly as possible.
