Let's resolve the error you've encountered to successfully connect your bank, hoopssshk.

 

You’ll encounter this error 101 when trying to add a bank with no valid account from your online banking account that satisfies at least one of the criteria below:

 

  • No transactions for the last 12 months.
  • Unable to accept the terms and agreements from your online banking website.

If there's no problem on your bank account’s end, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Support Team. They have the tools to check the connection between your bank and QuickBooks in a safe and secure environment. 

 

Here's how to reach them:

  1. First, tap the Help icon to connect to a support agent. 
  2. Click on Contact Us button to email your concern. 
  3. Tick on Start an email button on the window that appears.
  4. Provide your account information and some insight about this concern.
  5. Lastly, click on Send email button.

If you can log in to your bank's website without a problem, and all the prompts are acknowledged, then I'll share a different solution that you can try. 

 

Let's do some troubleshooting steps on your browser. You might have some corrupted file cache that is causing this error. To start, open your QuickBooks Online account in a private browser or incognito. This mode prevents your browsing history from being stored. You can use the keyboard shortcuts below: 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

Next, try to connect your bank. If you can connect without the error, let's go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Finally, restart your browser to refresh the settings.

 

On the other hand, try using a different supported browser.  

 

You also have the option to import your bank transactions manually. The steps are included in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. If you ever encountered issues with importing the transactions, you can perform some of the troubleshooting steps here

Already did all of that via live chat support with QB, who used screen share (SmartLook) feature to guide me through Incognito mode. Didn't work same error. Like I said the issue is not on my end. Only QuickBooks has the issue. They escalated and I'm awaiting follow-up from support.

same issues for over a week and no resolution from quikbooks along with no response.  Maybe its time to change vendors

Error 101 is a random error that is usually resolved in 24-48 hours, but if the issue persists, it's best to contact our Support team to check this further using more tools.

 

May I know the name of the bank, so I can check here if there's an ongoing investigation regarding this error?

Is there an investigation into Lowes Synchrony currently?  The inability to update mine and error code 101 just started this morning.

Currently, we don't have a reported case about Lowe's Synchrony getting bank error 101. To ensure this is getting fixed, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support so we can investigate further and create a ticket for you.

 

Here's how to reach out:

 

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter a brief description of the issue, then tap Continue.
  4. Click Chat with us.

I'd like to verify if you received an error when connecting to your Arcons account? This way, I can provide the exact resolution about it.

 

The issue you received can be related to the saved cached and site history stored in your browser. Let's clear them so you can connect and download your bank account successfully. To do so, let's start by using a private or incognito window of your browser. 

 

Here are the shortcut keyboards:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

Then go to the banking menu again. If you're able to connect without any issues, go back to your regular browser and then clear its cache and cookies to start over fresh. Alternatively, you can switch to another supported browser.

I get error message 101. I had my account linked already but it had issues keeping it updated on Mint. So to fix that issue, they asked me to login to my acorns account again.  When I went to verify my information, I put in my login information and then when it would go to connect I would get error message 101. I then deleted the account and tried adding it back onto Mint and I got the same error message. I have tried this on my tablet, web browser on my phone and through the app and I get the same error message.
