This wife, proud mother of two, and dual business owner approaches life with the same intensity and ambition as a truck driver after downing a 5-hour energy drink! She and her family call metro Atlanta, GA home, but you’ll find Carla on the go many months of the year. After graduating from Florida State University with her degree in Accounting, Carla embarked on a multifaceted career in accounting that has included stints as a senior trainer and director for different accounting software solutions and an entrepreneurial business owner who puts her knowledge of technology to good use in serving her clients. Carla saw the need to guide accounting firms as they modernised their practices. That’s why she started Caldwell Consulting and Training in 2015. With the heart of a teacher, she helps everyone from beginners to industry veterans connect the dots between technology and accounting. Carla is also the owner and founder of Candella Accounting & Advisory Services, an accounting services firm that supports small businesses and nonprofits. Carla was named as one of “The Top 50 Women in Accounting for 2021” by Ignition. In her spare time, she loves to give back by mentoring other women as they progress in their accounting and business careers.
