Continual platform improvements

QuickBooks Online

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the QuickBooks platform and providing exceptional value to our customers, we’re releasing a range of new product features across QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA).

These features span various areas including dashboards, integrations, sales and expense overviews, customer and project management, and the QBOA Work experience. Some of the features include minor visual improvements and others represent new functionality. Additionally, some of these features will be released to everyone and others will be released in phases. Let’s take a look at what’s new or coming soon.

Google Drive integration for receipts

You can now upload receipts from Google Drive to attach to transactions.

Google Drive integration for Chart of Account imports

You can now import a Chart of Accounts from a Google Drive location.

New Sales Overview dashboard

Tailorable Quick actions and a new visual display of your income is now available under the Overview tab.

Expense Tasks Widget (Advanced)

See any open tasks relating to expenses in the new display.

Auto enabled Projects (Plus and Advanced)

The Projects feature is now automatically enabled for Plus and Advanced subscribers, eliminating the need to activate it through Settings.

Sales Quick Action widget

Access your frequently used sales features by tailoring the Quick actions widget in the new Overview tab.

Track Project Changes (Plus and Advanced)

Changes to estimated costs, income, or project margin within the Projects area are now recorded in the Change Log tab. The log records what was changed and when.

Project attachments (Plus and Advanced)

Keep track of all your project-related documents by storing them in the new Attachments tab in each of your projects.

Track Projects and Standalone work (QuickBooks Online Accountant)

You can now track and filter your practice Projects and standalone tasks in the Work area.

Automated Payee Suggestions

QuickBooks Online

To reduce manual data entry and improve data completeness, we've enhanced our transaction categorization feature. QuickBooks now automatically suggests suppliers/payees based on historical or similar transactions, enabling you to categorize transactions with greater detail and accuracy.
