Andrew Stark uses QuickBooks to manage his accounting for his business, One Shot Gel Blasters.

He recently used ANZ GoBiz to get a loan to buy a machine that helps make spare parts. Connecting his QuickBooks account was simple, and he made his loan application on the side of the road on the way back from the Australian Gel Blaster League National Titles in Brisbane. It took him just 20 minutes to do the application and get conditional approval.

What business information is shared with ANZ?

A one-time secure link between ANZ and your QuickBooks account will be established as part of the process. Once you log into your QuickBook Online account and provide consent, ANZ will securely access and analyse your business’s financial data for the 12 full calendar months prior to your application, including:

profit and loss
balance sheet
historical transactions and supporting information.

ANZ GoBiz eligibility criteria

You personally need to be:

The key financial decision maker for your entity
An Australian citizen or permanent resident
Over 18 years old

Your business needs to:

Have at least 12 months of reconciled financial data in AUD
Have operated under the current ABN/ACN for 12 months
Have been GST registered if annual turnover is $75,000 or more
Have an annual turnover not exceeding $10m
Be a sole trader, a company or a partnership
Be a fixed unit or discretionary trading trust with a corporate trustee
Have up to five directors or partners

Additionally, any non-individual shareholders will need to own less than 25% of your business. For full eligibility criteria please visit the ANZ site.

1 It should take no more than two business days before ANZ can provide full approval. There may be instances where ANZ needs extra information from you, which could extend this timeframe.

2 For an unsecured loan you won’t need to provide any assets, such as property, to secure your loan. However, directors of the company will need to provide a personal guarantee.
