Hi Everyone, I've just noticed that quickbooks has continued logging payroll expences for people who have long since left the business! how do I make it stop??!

Hi Everyone, I've just noticed that quickbooks has continued logging payroll expences for people who have long since left the business! how do I make it stop??!

Hey there, @mheastandsonsltd,

 

I can get you around on how to remove inactive employees from your payroll processing in QuickBooks Online for United Kingdom.

 

To exclude these employees when creating payslips, you'll need to update their employment status. Perform these steps on your account:

 

  1. Choose the Employees menu from the navigation panel.
  2. Tap the Employees tab to open your employee list.
  3. Select the inactive name to open his/her profile.
  4. Click on the Active drop-down below the employee name.
  5. Select the Mark as leaver option.
  6. Fill out the Leaving date and the Reasons for leaving fields.
  7. Hit Save.
