I am here to help you connect your bank account in the app, @info-rmpolymers- .
Before we proceed with troubleshooting, could you please provide us with the name of your financial institution? It's possible that your bank may not yet be supported by the QBO UK app, and we want to ensure we have all the relevant information to assist you accurately.
In the meantime you'll want to connect your bank account using a web browser instead of the app. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
- Select Add account.
- Enter the name of your financial institution. When it appears, select it from the list.
- Select the link to go to your bank's website. This opens a new window.
- Make sure you can access your account through this site. See if you can view your account summary, account history, and account details without any errors.
- If you can access everything, sign out of the financial institution's website.
- Go back and continue to add the account in QuickBooks Online.
If you're still unable to connect after trying the above steps, you can sign in to your bank's website to check if everything is working fine on their end. Then, manually update your bank connection to get the latest available transactions. Here's how:
- Select Banking or Transactions from the sidebar menu.
- Go to the Banking tab.
- Choose the appropriate bank account.
- Click Update.
However, if you're still unable to get your bank transactions, you can get them from your bank's website and upload them in QuickBooks. Please go through this article for the steps: Manually Upload Transactions Into QuickBooks Online.
For your reference, you can also match bank transactions with what you've entered in QuickBooks. Read this article for your guide: Categorise and Match Online Bank Transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you have any questions about connecting with your bank. I'm here to assist you further.
