cant add accountant email

QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) lacks a direct option to add an accountant, Colette. Instead, you can invite them to access your file, and I'm here to guide you through the process.

 

This feature helps you work together smoothly, allowing them to examine your books and ensure all financial details are maintained and updated.

 

To send the invite, please follow the steps:

 

  1. Log into QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Click on Settings ⚙, then choose Accountant.
  3. Type your accountant’s email address into the Accountant email field.
  4. Click Send invitation.
  5. Choose Text a code for identity verification, which will send a code to your registered mobile number.
  6. Enter the Verification code in the specified field, then click Continue.

 

Once they accept the invitation, they can access your data and assist you with all your accounting needs.
