cant import a csv file

Importing transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO) requires a specific CSV format, Shaparack, for accurate data mapping and integration.

To assist you more effectively, could you specify which CSV file you're attempting to import into QuickBooks and the error message you're receiving? Please provide any relevant details or screenshots to help me guide you toward a solution more efficiently.

If you're trying to import bank transactions, I suggest checking the formatting restrictions. Your CSV file must be properly formatted to ensure successful data import into QuickBooks.

  • Special characters are not allowed.
  • Zeros (0) are not allowed anywhere in the file.
  • Correct any transactions that display an amount in the Description column.
  • Remove the word amount if it appears in the name of the Credit or Debit column.
  • MAC  users must save the file as a Windows CSV file.
  • Correct and standardize the Date format to a single format (for example, dd/mm/yyyy).
  • Some banks provide the day of the week and include it in the Date column (for example, 20/11/2018 TUE in column A), which is not an acceptable format. To correct this, split the date and the day of the week into two separate columns.

Once the CSV file meets the dos and don'ts mentioned above, you can attempt to import your transactions again.

If the issue persists after following the correct format, let's troubleshoot. Browser cache, cookies, internet speed, and browser version can affect performance. Ensure you're using the latest browser version and have a stable internet connection.
