How do I change my email and user id? Does anyone have the answer?

I have a company email that I would like to use instead of my personal one to stopstuff getting lost in all of the random junk I have so I was wondering how to change the email?

Hi.  Welcome to the Community. 

 

I'm here to help you with changing your email address and User ID on your account. This can be done by following these quick and easy steps:

 

  1. Log in to accounts.intuit.com, then go to the Sign in & security menu at the left pane.
  2. Click the User ID and Email address section to change it.
  3. Enter the details, and then hit Save to complete.

I have followed the advice for changing the ID (email)

This hasn't worked. 

I have tried it several times over several days. I get the settings you list but on saving it reads - we can not to this at this time. 

 

Can you help please?

Generally, the steps provided by @TirzahC are the correct process when changing the email address and user ID. Since it's not working on your end, I suggest reaching out to our support team so they can look into this further and identify what's causing the issue. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment. Here's how to contact them. 

 

  1. Click the (?) Help icon and enter Talk to a human (then type it again when prompted).
  2. When asked by the bot, enter your concern.
  3. Select I still need a human, then proceed with Contact us or Get help from a human.
  4. Choose either Chat or Callback.
