I cant access my clients self employed account. it keeps asking me to choose sole trader or landlord?

It will not let me get passed this screen, i save it and it just keeps looping back around? Does this mean my client hasnt been using quickbooks?

I cant access my clients self employed account. it keeps asking me to choose sole trader or landlord?

In QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), only your client can select their business type as either Sole Trader or Landlord when logging into their account, jmw.

 

Please know that accountants can't make the selection. This choice needs to be made by your client when they login to their QBSE account, ensuring the account settings are correctly configured according to their specific business type.

thanks for the reply.I thought the same but it keeps coming up and wont just let me view their account as i normally would. just keeps coming back to the same screen to choose business type and then says saving and reappears again! I? have tried on numerous days and different browsers and still its doing it. i can access other sole trader accounts correctly?

 

i wonder if they would be better to remove my access and re-invite me

Requesting for a re-invitation also works, Jmw. But if it keeps looping back to the business type selection screen, it's a great idea to connect with our live support so they can help you out. 

 

They have the tools to securely access account-specific information and find out what's causing this behavior:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select the Assistant or Search tab to enter your question.
  3. Type your question in the designated field, then Continue.
  4. Choose either Chat or Callback for support.

I still cant access this, i spent 2 hours on the chat today and kept getting passed around, can someone please look at the attached and help please

Self-Employed and Sole Trader are two different subscriptions plans, is your
client Sole Trader?

I have disabled pop ups and cleared chache on both. i can access it on my phone
but i get no transactions showing and the client says he has used it

Let's try using a private browser within Edge. After opening Edge, click on the
three dots on the upper right and select New InPrivate window.
