Hi @bellinghamc,

The first thing I suggest you check is the company ID that's included in the email notification you received. You can compare it with the company ID of your active company. (The company ID is located in the Billing & Subscription page, steps to open it are found below)

If it doesn't match, then the expired company in question is a different QBO company, possibly a trial.

To check this further, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Profile section, select Switch Company.

The page that appears will list all your active and cancelled companies.

If it matches or you don't have any other QBO companies created, you can check your Billing & Subscription page to confirm your subscription status.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Tap the Billing & Subscription tab.

This page shows your subscription status. To further get confirmation about this, you can also contact our Technical Support team. They can open your account information in a secure environment, and get to the bottom of why you received that email notification.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QBO company.
  2. Click the Help menu.
  3. Select Contact us.

In case you decide to upgrade your subscription, you can follow the steps provided in this article: Upgrade your QuickBooks Online subscription.
