Importing Bills and Receipts Data

Hi everyone,

I am importing bills and receipts data using import data option provided by Quick book. My data import is working fine but I want that Impact on cash become immediately as I import bills and receipts data in to Quick book. At current, I needs to make the payment manually after import process. After Bills import, I needs to go the imported transactions and complete the step to make the payment and for Receipt, I needs to do Receipt payments.

Importing Bills and Receipts Data

I'll share some insights on how QuickBooks Online handles imported transactions, Syed.

When importing bills and receipts, there is no direct way to automatically link the payments to your imported bills and sales receipts. You'll have to make the payments manually.

We're constantly looking for ways to make your QuickBooks experience more convenient and enjoyable.

I'd appreciate it if you share your ideas with our product engineers. This way, they'll know what functionality would benefit your business needs. Your suggestions assist them in developing features that might be added to their future product updates.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Tap Next to submit.

 I've also provided a link to further information on using QBO to track balances due to suppliers and customers: Manage outstanding balances for customers and suppliers in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, you can always visit our help articles if you need resources to work on other tasks for your account.

Please leave a comment if you have any further inquiries. I'll be sure to assist again.

@Syed Anwaar

You can prepare Bill Payments (against Bill) and Receive Payments (against Invoice) in XLS format. Then use an importer tool to proceed.
