Is there a way that I can either restrict user's access to just produce quotes and purchase orders without seeing other info? Alternatively, is there an app for this?

Hi tracey2972, thanks for your post!

QuickBooks Online has a set list of user types each with different access permissions which you can see here, it's not possible to add an app that would allow for different user types to be added. The lowest level user available with the ability to enter quotes and purchase orders would be a limited user with access to customers and suppliers. We'd be grateful if you could submit any feedback you have on this by going to the Cog > Feedback within your account, this way it will reach our developers who regularly review and implement new features. :woman_technologist:

Thanks for your reply.

I've discovered that the only way that I can have users entering quotes is if I make them standard users but only give them access to customers but this means they can see everything about the customer - outstanding balance and also how long invoices are overdue etc.

Is there an external product (unlikely to be created by QB), that I can use to produce quotes that will then export the information into QB?

I guess this is more likely to be answered by another user rather than a member of staff.
