Sub customers 4 levels deep meaning

I would like to know what this means

While you can have unlimited sub-customers, parent accounts can only have sub-customers up to four levels deep.

Many thanks

I'd be glad to explain and clarify things for you, @LynnSarah.

Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we're committed to delivering the best support experience possible.

The statement you mentioned means that within our system, you have the option to create an unlimited number of sub-customers. However, a sub-customer can only set up to four level sub-customers.

See this sample below:

This hierarchical structure is often used to organize and manage customer accounts in a way that reflects the relationships between different clients, projects, or divisions within a company. It can be useful for businesses that want to track income and expenses at different levels of granularity within their customer base.

Moreover, you can check out this resource to guide you in keeping track and handling your customers in QBO: Add and manage customers in QuickBooks Online.
