Transferring Data

Hi, I have Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2019.  My Old computer would not update Quickbooks Desktop for a while now and so I backed up my QB Desktop and was going to upload it on USB to new Computer.  I downloaded Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2019, entered my Licence Number and Product Number but before I could activate it I was being asked to update.  I updated the programme I had just downloaded but it still kept saying update and would not activate.  When I looked it downloads the Update R10 version and mine is not updated to this version so does this mean that I cannot upload my Quickbooks Desktop, to open on new computer.  Or is there a way to do this.
