unable to view the currency field in the new account window

We have existing AR accounts set up in EUR/USD/GBP (home currency is EUR and multi-currency is on)

Need to create new AR account but currency field is not showing.

Can see change currency on other account types (eg. Cash, Fixed Assets) but no longer on AR and AP

Has something changed on QB (all my team members have same problem)? help please

Hello Datingfactory, 

 

Welcome to the Community page, 

 

If you create an invoice in a particular currency it will automatically create an AR account relating to that currency for you In Quickbooks. You don't need to create it yourself for each one.

we use AR accounts as control accounts (eg. AR Barclaycard EUR) and have a specific Customer AR account in each currency (and populate by journal entry)

One central AR account for EUR/USD/GBP is not sufficient.  In the past we have always been able to create new AR accounts in different currencies.  Now, this option appears to have been lost

Hello dating factory, It is the case you can only have one default debtors account in each currency. If you have moved from another product like QuickBooks desktop you may have imported other chart of accounts however the Online version will default to the default debtors for each currency when a transaction is created with a debtor on in that currency so there is not the option for another one if that makes sense.
