All transactions between 28/03/20 and 04/05/20 are missing from my bank feed. This was during the period where the bank feed changed to the new system and bank transactions couldn't be downloaded automatically. I have been trying to sort this out for months without success. My bank (Barclays) won't let me download transactions older than one month. Any help gladly received.
Thanks

Hello, AlamoRyde.
I appreciate the efforts trying to sort the missing transactions out. Look no further because I'm here to help you get them into QuickBooks Online.
You'll want to manually import those missing transactions from Barclays. Simply get a CSV file (for transactions between 28/03/20 and 04/05/20) from your bank account, then upload it into QuickBooks Online.
After getting the file, here's how you can import it to your QBO account:
If you'd like to know more about the process, you can check these articles:
After importing the missing transactions, you can start categorising and matching them.

Thanks for you reply. I have now found how to download older transactions with Barclays. Thanks for your help.
Hi AlamoRyde,
There would be no way to recover these now through the live bank connection, you would need to refer to your bank statements and enter these manually or contact your bank to see if there is a way to export this data.
Thanks :)
Hello, I have a similar problem, Quickbooks all of the sudden when asked me to restore connection with bank lost 8 months worth of transactions.
I am trying to upload manually via .csv and it keeps showing an error. I have the Self Employed subscription.
Is there anyway I can retrieve 8 months of transactions via bank account or what's the trick with the csv as it's not working and I have tried for 3 days straight.
Hi there, Natasshja.
Let me share information on uploading CSV files in your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).
Manually uploading your eight months' transactions to your QBSE is a way to go to retrieve your transactions. When uploading a CSV file in QuickBooks, it is important to follow two specific formats. These are the three-column and the four-column format.
The three columns have a date, description, and amount column, while the four columns have a Date, Description, Credit, and Debit.
To know more about the guidelines for uploading a CSV file in your QB, scan through this article: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.
After retrieving the transactions, you will need to categorize them. Refer to this article for guidance on how to do so: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Don't hesitate to come back to us and update us if you still get errors upon uploading your data after reviewing and making changes. Specifying the details of the error you'll receive would also be a great help for us to narrow down the issue and find an adequate solution for it. I'll be waiting for your reply, Natasshja. Keep safe!
