Can I change the date I want bank transactions to download from??

I've got your back, @Sonya Immanuel. I'd be happy to help you bring your earlier transactions to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

Since you've set up your banking account in QBO, I'd recommend importing your transactions from your bank's website manually through .CSV file.

Let's first exclude the uploaded transaction with an incorrect date to avoid duplicates. Follow these steps to proceed:

  1. Go to the Transaction menu and proceed to the Banking tab.
  2. Click the For Review tab.
  3. Select the checkbox of the transactions to exclude.
  4. Select Exclude.

Then, we can proceed with taking note of the earliest transaction date you've imported on your QBO Banking page. Then, go to your bank's website and get the transactions.

Let's say if you had December 1 as your earliest transaction in QBO, you may import the earlier transactions before December 1 from your bank to avoid getting duplicate transactions after the process.

Here's how to import the bank transactions into QBO:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu and select the Banking tab to choose a bank you want to import the transactions to.
  2. Select Upload from file from the Link account drop-down menu.
  3. Select Drag or drop or select files and then locate the file you downloaded from your bank, then select Continue.
  4. From the QuickBooks account ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into, then click Continue.
  5. Map the columns and click Continue.
  6. Select the transactions to import and hit Continue.
  7. Click Yes and select Done.

You also have the option to edit the date of the transactions in the .CSV file using Excel before uploading them manually.

I'd also suggest reaching out to your accountant for additional guidance in dealing with this.
