How can I reconfirm my consent in my linked accounts when whenever I click on 'manage consent' it shows 'something unexpected happened'.?

Reconfirming consent is required every 90 days to ensure continued access to your bank features in QuickBooks Self-Employed, Tadeusz.

When consent expires, any services reliant on it may be suspended or revoked, which means you could temporarily lose the ability to retrieve or update your bank information until the consent is successfully renewed.

Since you mentioned encountering an error message, I recommend deleting your current bank connection and reconnecting it to restore access.

To delete your bank, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Transactions tab.
  2. Click the dropdown beside the Add transaction button.
  3. Select Manage accounts.
  4. Click the Bin icon.
  5. Type DELETE and click the Delete button.

Once done, you can reconnect your bank again to fully regain access to your banking features.

same issue.

Deleted the bank and reconnected and its only imported the last 90 days so I have to manually reenter every other transaction since April. Why is there an error and what is the fix? This has now happened twice and is making Quikbooks utterly pointless!

I recognize the challenges you've experienced with reconnecting your bank and reentering transactions, Jonny. Supposed you're still having trouble reconfirming your bank feed connection in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), I recommend contacting our live support team. A support agent can take a closer look and investigate why you're unable to reconfirm your consent.

Here's how to reach out to them:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Select the Help icon in the upper-right-hand corner of your screen.
  3. Scroll down to select the Contact Us button and follow the prompts.
  4. You will be able to request a callback or start a live chat with an expert.

To ensure timely assistance, please take a moment to review our support hours before reaching out.

To reconfirm your bank feed consent in QBSE, please visit the article for your guidance: How to reconsent your bank feed connection in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Regarding your bank transactions, when you delete and reconnect a bank account in QuickBooks, only the last 90 days of transactions are imported due to syncing rules set by your bank. To bring in transactions from before this period, you can download them as a CSV file from your bank and manually upload them to QuickBooks. This will save you from manually reentering each transaction.
