To update your credit card number, paulacribbin, we'll first disconnect your old credit card from QuickBooks Online and reconnect the new one.
Before disconnecting your bank account, ensure that all your transactions are categorized. Otherwise, they will be deleted if left uncategorized.
Here's how to disconnect an old one:
- Go to Transactions, then choose Banking.
- Click the tile for the bank account.
- Choose the pencil ✎ icon, then select Edit account info.
- Select the Disconnect this account on the save checkbox.
- Click Save and Close.
Once done, reconnect your new one:
- Go to Transactions and choose Banking.
- Select Link account.
- In the search field, enter the name of your credit card.
- Click Continue. Then, enter your login credentials to your bank with your user ID and password.
- Follow the on-screen steps.
- Choose the accounts you want to connect, then select the account type ▼dropdown. Choose the account type that matches your chart of accounts in QuickBooks.
