Hello there, @Charlie.
There are some reasons your bank isn't linking to online banking in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll share them below and guide you through the steps in finding and connecting the right one accordingly.
You're having issues finding or linking your bank account may be because of the following reasons:
You can link your bank account to QBO when they're a participating financial institution. To check, I encourage you to visit the Connect an account page and search using their website's URL. This ensures that you're using the correct listing and that you'll be connecting to the right account. Here's how:
In case you're still unable to link your bank account, or they don't appear on the list, even after performing the steps above, you can request support for them in QBO (please see Step 3 in the given article). Then, opt to manually upload your transactions to keep your financial data updated.
Also, I encourage you to reconcile your accounts in QBO regularly (every month). This helps monitor your income and expense transactions and detect possible errors accordingly. You may want to check out this article as your reference to guide you in doing and fixing reconciliations in QBO: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.
Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have other banking concerns or questions about managing transactions in QBO. I'm always ready to help. Take care, @Charlie.

I have similar issue but the only difference is the bank acccount was linked by another user (accountant), and I'm the user. I saw him successfuly linked to the account, but I can't see it from my side. Do you know what's the reason and what should we do?

I have the same issue, and when I follow these steps it tries to make a new bank account. I already have the bank going through and have for a year now, I don't want to make a new account that will need to be reconciled because of an issue with QB the connection to the bank is correct and we have even refreshed the connection. please advice on what to do to fix this issue.
I am using QB online accountants side and the bank in question is Cashpluss if this information is important.
Hi jcadman1, thanks for joining this thread with that detailed info. If you don't see an option to choose an existing account during the connection process when linking your bank from the Banking page, please instead try connecting the account via your chart of accounts:
1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Chart of accounts (Take me there).
2. Find the account you want to connect to.
3. In the Action column, select the Account history ▼ dropdown. Then select Connect bank.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your bank to QuickBooks.
I'm replying to this thread because I'm having a similar issue.
I have several bank accounts through the same bank. I've linked my bank and it gives me a list of all the accounts I have and I can toggle which one I want to connect to quickbooks. I select the one I want and then it takes me to another screen and says to choose the account I want and lists every account I have in my name through this bank, except the one I need and toggled on the previous page. Any suggestions?
I've been using QB for a month now and had a bank account linked, but noticed today that somehow, it was linked to the wrong account. So I unlinked it and have been trying to link the correct one, but it will not work.
