Hi, @PMYORKS.
Let's make sure to disable the auto-fill feature from the Accounts and Settings so the system won't automatically fill in the VAT details with your customer's name. I'll guide you on how.
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
- Go to the Gear icon, then click on Account and Settings under Your Company.
- Click on Advanced at the left pane, then go to the Automation section.
- Disable the Pre-fill forms with the previously entered content option.
- Hit Save, then Done.
With regards to tabbing from one field to another, I recommend performing some troubleshooting steps so you can highlight the whole words on a certain field.
First, open your account using a private window. This is the best place to check if the issue is within the browser you're using. To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:
- Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
- Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
If it works fine, go back to your original browser and clear its cache to start fresh. You can also use another supported and up to date browser to narrow down the result.
On the other hand, you can review the topics from this link for more tips and resources while working with your income and other customer transactions in the future: Topics about your company's income and customers.
