Trying to transfer Desktop QB Pro 2008 to quickbooks online plus but unable to update desktop version to the latest version to be able to transfer to quickbooks online. Can anyone please help?
Where is your company located? UK or another country?
The company is a registered charity based in the UK.
You can contact MMB to convert your last 2 years of data as-is to QBO for free. Then I would recommend sticking with your QB Desktop to access your historical data to lower your conversion costs.

Hello there, Bretney.
To move data from QuickBooks Desktop 2008 to QuickBooks Online, you typically need to update your desktop version to at least 2013, as direct conversion from 2008 is not supported. Since updating is an issue, one option is to try using an intermediary version (like 2013) or look into using the "QB Desktop to Online Converter" tool through Intuit's support.
Alternatively, you could export your data to a CSV file and manually upload it to QuickBooks Online, though this requires more work.
Let me know if you have other questions, I'm always here to help. Take care.
If you need to upgrade to QB Desktop 2009 or later (e.g. 2013) before converting data to QB Online, you can also contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA for assistance.
