Hi Can a press the exclude button in booking keeping "transactions" if the item is relating a a personal item and not relating at all to the business?

Im not sure if QB self employed or QB online.  How would I know ?

Hi wyattandwallaceem I've check this for you on our system and I can see that you're using QB Online. In this case, if the downloaded transaction is a personal expense, it's best to add it to QuickBooks, rather than exclude it. Otherwise, your bank account in QuickBooks won't match your bank statement when you reconcile it. You can create a dummy personal bank account in your Chart of Accounts to post this to (select the Cog > CoA > New > Select 'Cash at bank and in hand' as the account type > 'Current' as the detail type > Rename). Then, on the for review banking screen, click the option for 'record as transfer'. :)
