I’m signed up to QuickBooks Self Employed. How do I assign my receipts to a job so I can see profit/loss on a job by job basis - is this possible?

I’m signed up to QuickBooks Self Employed. How do I assign my receipts to a job so I can see profit/loss on a job by job basis - is this possible?

Let's see what options we have, mail-nigelbiddle.

 

Currently, we cannot assign jobs to the transactions in QBSE. Instead, we can use the tags. This would help you categorize the transactions.

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Manage tags.
  2. Click Create new tag and enter the Tag Name.
  3. Select a Group and click Save.
  4. Go to the Transactions page and assign the tags.

Then, we can pull up the Tag Totals report and compare it to your Profit and Loss report.
